Once again, I have been bad about posting. Forgive me.
I’m sick. Blah. I have a sinus infection. The doctor gave me amoxicillin, but it did no good, so I had to get a serious antibiotic, Biaxin. That, with the decongestant and ear medicine she prescribed came to about $180. That’s a lot of money. I need to get over this, though. I feel like I’ve been ran over by a truck at the present moment. It might be because I slept so late this morning (nearly noon), or it might be the infection. Or it might be because I’m just plain lazy.
I finished what I think is my longest paper ever on Monday night. 16 pages. That’s a lot of writing. It was about a crooked cop and two theories which might explain his actions. It wasn’t a bad paper, I don’t think. I’m glad to have it done. I’ve been getting good grades on everything I’ve done, all As, so that’s all good. I haven’t seen much of those people I call “friends” lately. I miss them.
Craig (from WV) and Julie (from Canadia) were here this weekend so Julie could look for a wedding dress. Once again, let me express my extreme adoration for Julie. I’m so happy that Craig found someone that really deserves him, and that he really deserves. Julie is so cool. I think she has so much in common with both Aimee and I, and even Jay. I couldn’t have handpicked Craig a better match. Hehe. She’s so friendly and nice, and at the same time cool in a way I dig. Yay for Craig! Craig spent so much of his life looking the wrong direction for someone special, but finally he honed in on what was right for him, and vice versa. We introduced Craig to Indian food on Saturday night, and I think he liked it. He was confused, and didn’t know what anything was called, but he liked the deep fried thing with tasty mush inside, as well as the flat crispy things you dipped in stuff, to name a few. We’re expanding his horizons.
Ok, I could just ask Nathan this directly, but did you ever see how Stanley was a lot like you in Going Postal? I enjoyed reading your thoughts on the book.
I really should finish reading for class now. I register for next semester on Monday. My group of Social Work friends and I have become co-dependent, and are all trying to get into the same sections of classes. I like them a lot, and outside of Jay, they’re my only regular social contacts. We’re all dorks. But that’s ok.
